What does FlexXray do besides X-ray food inspection?
“On top of our custom X-ray inspection, we also offer other inspection services for our customers. One of those value-added services is containment retrieval. In containment retrieval, we’re taking previously inspected product that was segregated through the initial inspection, and we’re dissecting and cataloging that foreign material for our customers, specifically maintaining all traceability of that product. A second valuable service that we offer is a visual inspection process, where we’re looking for bad packaging, misaligned labels or wrong code or batch dates on product. The third service we offer is product storage and warehousing, whether that’s long-term or short-term, cold and refrigerated, or dry and ambient product. A fourth valuable service we offer is canned and jarred dud detection, in which we’re looking for pour seals or vacuum leak in canned and jarred product.”
How does FlexXray inspect product better than our internal X-ray machines?
“In-line equipment is intended to move at in-line machines and is based on computer algorithms and high-powered equipment. FlexXray’s process utilizes three different elements: lower speeds, the human eye to differentiate grayscale, and custom calibration and power so that we can see different foreign material in different product.”
How does FlexXray help with our internal investigations and final disposition?
“That’s exactly what we do here at FlexXray is our custom system and process is designed to give you the data and information you need to make the best decision possible for your foreign material hold. When you bracket product, the last thing you want is inaccurate or inefficient results, and that’s what we’re here to align and do for you.”
