Midwest Facility Expansion Underway

In May, FlexXray announced the acquisition of Accu-Ray Inspection Services, Inc. based in Elmhurst, IL. This merger provided immediate access to a broader network of FlexXray inspection sites, allowing for quicker and easier food inspection monitoring from the region. As anticipated, demand is high and FlexXray is excited to announce our plans to move into a larger facility in Q1 2020!

Build-out construction at a new facility in Aurora, IL is in the works and is on track for completion in Q1 2020. In an attempt to mirror the home office facility in Texas, this new, state-of-the-art facility triples the operational capacity in Illinois to better assist FlexXray’s dedicated clients.  Over 48,000 sq ft of space, a temperature-controlled inspection space, a separate contaminant retrieval space, and a 12+ machine layout are just a few amenities within the new location. As with all of FlexXray facilities, USDA registration, FDA registration, and third-party GMP audit documentation will be maintained.

With this increased capacity throughout the network, FlexXray will have the ability to inspect up to 25 truckloads of product per day. Combined with single-camera rental units and the new fleet of metal detectors for rent, no other service experience in the industry compares.
