How CT Technology Improves Our Ability to Find Foreign Material in Food
BIOMETiC’s CT scanning technology addresses critical challenges in foreign material inspection, particularly in detecting hard-to-identify contaminants. CT capabilities scan food and beverage products in real-time at 360 degrees using a rotating gantry, ensuring complete inspection from every angle.
This advanced imaging approach generates highly detailed volumetric data (voxels instead of pixels), allowing for the detection of contaminants such as thin wires, plastic, and rubber gaskets that standard 2-D X-ray technology might miss.
Unlike traditional inspection methods, BIOMETiC’s Mito CT machines overcome critical orientation limitations, enabling unprecedented visibility into:

- Dense rubber fragments
- Complex plastic materials
